You can’t be an instrument of His peace to this world if you are constantly complaining about what you don’t have or what you can’t do. True instruments of His peace would be content where they are as God has placed them. Not content in the sense that you don’t look to improve or grow, but content in the sense that you are trusting IN God to move you as you move closer to Him. Constantly growing to be more like Christ.
Christ was not a complainer, He did not whine about being beaten. He stood there and took it. The chastisement of our sin, the punishment He took… so that we can have peace. And yet instead of being an instrument of peace, we are rather instruments of complaints. We don’t sound like a wonderful orchestra bringing glory to God, but rather a noisy crash of inconsistent odd sounds that keep us from glorifying the Master as we should.
Be an instrument of peace. Trust that God knows what He is doing in your life.
